Regatta Plaza redevelopment

Regatta Plaza redevelopment

Tony and Matt, attended a luncheon put on by the Colorado/Wyoming CCIM chapter today. The topic of discussion – development of the Regatta Plaza.

Regatta Plaza, located at I-225, Parker and Peoria – across from the Nine Mile RTD FasTrack station, will undergo a total redevelopment. The Regatta Plaza has effectively been vacant for 10 years. The old shopping center experienced drug dealing and drug use. Homeless people were living in the vacant storefronts.

At the demolition of the first building, over 200 people from the neighborhood, excited to see the development begin and the dilapidated buildings removed. During the approval process neighbors expressed little to no opposition, rare when dealing with a redevelopment of this magnitude.

Mile High Development in partnership with Kobel will be developing a 250 unit apartment complex, multi-story office building with a pedestrian bridge across Parker Road to the Nine Mile Fastrack station, they will move the existing King Soopers and fuel station to a new 80,000 square foot space at Cornell and Emporia and move the KeyBank to Dartmouth and Peoria, along with many other uses, yet to be determined.

The King Soopers is scheduled to open the 1st or 2nd quarter of 2018.
