Is This The Future Of Craft Beer?

Colorado does not disappoint with the amount of craft breweries available no matter which city you are in.

Denver specifically, now has 70 breweries.

However, two breweries in Denver are standing out from the rest due to a business move to operate both breweries within the same building. Wit’s End Brewing Co. plans to close down at their current location by the end of year and will be moving into Strange Craft Beer Co. at their 1330 Zuni Street space.

By consolidating both companies into the same taproom and production space, Tim Myers who is the co-owner of Strange Craft, stated that he estimated around $100,000 would be saved for both breweries.

Although both companies will be under the same roof, they will continue to create their own individual products. Not only is there an advantage towards saving money for both companies, but both breweries will have the ability to tap into each other’s networks.

The roles of the owners will also be changing as Tim Myers who was the head brewer at Strange Craft will be moving into distribution. Tyler Bies who was head brewer at Wit’s End, will now expand his position to Strange Craft as well.

Due to the recent boom in craft breweries, competition has risen and both companies have realized that they could not pass up this opportunity.
