The proposed idea for an Aerotropolis district south of Denver International Airport is slowly but surely becoming a reality.
According to Bisnow Denver, “The city of Aurora, the Adams County Board of Commissioners and the Aerotropolis Area Coordinating Metropolitan District have executed an intergovernmental agreement establishing the Aerotropolis Regional Transportation Authority, which will oversee the budget and phasing plans for infrastructure improvements to the Aerotropolis area.”
The Aerotropolis area consists of 21,000 acres of land that will be developed for homes, shops, restaurants, public parks, recreation centers and cultural facilities.
With this amount of construction and implementation of new businesses, Aurora Highlands LLC Developer Carlo Ferreira states it will create more than 170,000 new jobs.
